Honda: Destroying American Dreams
Honda is turning away from professional auto transport companies and moving to car carriers that may create serious hidden damages to cars delivered to dealers. Improperly secured and transported vehicles can sustain hidden damages to tires, rims, axles and the overall frame. This can threaten your safety and lead to costly repair bills - see the photos below.
A recent report by a prominent Wayne State University professor finds that highway safety is at risk, and that “a shift away from established car carrier companies will lead to higher crash rates” for car carriers. It’s no wonder that a new Honda might not be all that you dreamed. Honda’s move to alternative car carriers is destroying good American jobs and the American dream. Honda is turning to cut-rate auto transport companies that have been documented to haul new vehicles improperly. For example, in the photos below, vehicles were secured to the rig using the wrong holes in the frames. Auto manufacturers engineer and design their frames to include specific holes in the frame that are to be used to secure vehicles during transportation. These holes are located where the frame is strongest. The methods used in these photos could cause damage to the vehicle’s frame or suspension. Trained, professional carhaulers know more than how to properly load a vehicle to prevent structural damage. They also understand the need to deliver vehicles without any scratches or dents. This carrier showed no such concerns. This photo clearly shows chains hanging down that will sway when moving and rub up against the vehicle, which will likely cause damage to the paint and possibly the hood or windshield.
